As part of a major investment in STEM, Halliday Meecham Architects were commissioned to design and deliver various teaching laboratories and an external window replacement programme to the Cockcroft Building at the University of Salford.
The design includes a single CAT2 Laboratory to accommodate 144 students in a single teaching group which can be split into four smaller laboratory spaces to provide flexible learning, Micro Biology Laboratory, Invertebrate Research Laboratory, Gas Chromatography Laboratory, Post Graduate write up space and associated services accommodation.
All refurbishment works were carried out in phases and with the building in full occupation with HMA providing Architect and Principal Designer Services.
