Leven is a new hotel created by independent brand creators and operators in the world of creative hospitality Wellbrook working in collaboration with Manchester Developer Cringle Corporation.
The hotel occupies a former cotton warehouse at 40 Chorlton Street in Manchester which was extended and fully refurbished to provide 42 apartments, rooftop penthouse and a basement fit out for potential complimentary commercial, retail or other uses. Intrusive works included the strip out and demolition of existing as well as part installation of a new structural frame, timber floors and partitions.
The development is located within the Whitworth Street / Princess Street Conservation Area which required a sensitive approach through planning to consider the heritage impact of constructing a contemporary two storey extension to the penthouse.
