The Bluecoat School in Oldham is a successful school with a national reputation for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning. Grounded in tradition and history, the Grade II listed campus has been restored and developed extensively to deliver learning in 21st century classrooms, laboratories, and studios.
In collaboration with the school, Halliday Meecham Architects have delivered a wide range of projects varying in size and complexity including Design and Technology, Music and Drama, the Main Hall, Main Building Alterations and a 1FE extension.
Each project has been developed in collaboration with the school to deliver their transformational vision and design quality aligned with education needs whilst addressing complex existing site conditions, historic fabric, and the challenges of construction in a live occupied constrained site.
