Weavers Quay is part of Manchester Life’s Phase One development to provide private, build to rent housing and commercial space across Ancoats and New Islington. Manchester Life is a joint venture between Abu Dhabi United Group and Manchester City Council with the goal of developing 200 acres of land between the Etihad Campus and Ancoats.
Working through the Manchester Life Framework, Halliday Meecham Architects worked with Graham Construction to deliver the project comprising 201 apartments, 64 parking spaces, 24/7 concierge, secure cycle storage and club space for tenants.
In addition to detail and technical design, Halliday Meecham Architects worked in close collaboration with operators Manchester Life Management to ensure the materials specified were robust to ensure efficiencies in working life and quality as well meet the aesthetic quality required for a high profile development.
