Halliday Meecham Architects are currently working with St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the delivery of a new extension to the Whiston Hospital.
Originally constructed in 2012, the new facility provides patient care across Merseyside, Cheshire and beyond with award-winning services, and short waiting times. The new extension provides space to relocate the Decontamination Unit, Endoscopy Department and offices to facilitate the growth of clinical facilities within the main hospital.
The proposed building occupies vacant land adjacent to the service yard. Complex enabling works are required to address multiple interfaces with the existing building that will remain fully operational during the construction phase.
